Sergeant First Class Nicole Caluori joined the West Point Band in 2009 after studying horn performance at Florida State University and Southern Methodist University with William Capps and Gregory Hustis. Prior to joining the band, Sgt. 1st Class Caluori spent summers at Tanglewood Music Center, National Repertory Orchestra, and Sarasota Music Festival. She has also performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony, and the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. Since joining the West Point Band, her memorable experiences include soloing with the band, performing with the New York Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic Brass Quintet, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Sgt. 1st Class Caluori is also the horn player in the West Point Woodwind Quintet. With the quintet, she has streamed live broadcasts at Trinity Church Wall Street and performed at the Shalin Liu Performing Art Center for the Rockland Music Festival. In March 2018, Sgt. 1st Class Caluori became the West Point Band’s first female drum major and currently enjoys her role as one of the marching band’s leaders.
In her free time, Sgt. 1st Class Caluori enjoys running and spending time with her husband Nick (who serves as third horn in the West Point Band), their three children, and their dog, Coda.
