Join the West Point Brass Quinet and special guest, pianist Master Sgt. Yalin Chi for an evening of chamber music and masterclasses at Bard College. Anchored by an arrangement of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, this program will be a unique opportunity to hear the combination of a vibrant brass quintet with a concert grand piano! After the performance, members of the West Point Band will provide a masterclass to Bard College students. This performance and masterclass are free and open to the public. Join the West Point Band in collaboration with Copland House for a dynamic concert of chamber music, featuring Copland’s iconic “Appalachian Spring.” Hear poignant and powerful works for brass and woodwind ensembles by local New York City composers, Anthony Barfield and Jessica Meyer, alongside a dynamic brass quintet piece by Jacob Druckman that pushes the boundaries of the ensemble.
