Staff Sergeant Chris Hunter joined the West Point Band in June of 2019. Originally from Orlando, Florida, he began playing horn as a student of William Robinson, founder of the International Horn Society. In 2013, Staff Sgt. Hunter earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida studying with Paul Basler. In 2015, he earned his master’s degree from the University of Iowa studying with Jeffrey Agrell. Before joining the West Point Band, Staff Sgt. Hunter held positions with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed frequently at Universal Studios and Disney World’s Epcot.
