Staff Sergeant Alec Mawrence joined the West Point Band in November of 2022. Originally from Northbrook, Illinois, he earned a Bachelor of Music from Northwestern University and a Master of Music from the University of Michigan. Staff Sgt. Mawrence spent three summers at the Aspen Music Festival and School where he studied with Warren Deck. He has performed at renowned venues around the world with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America and the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra.
