Staff Sergeant Jack Bounds joined the West Point Band in 2023. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Music from Middle Tennessee State University. He was a member of the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps from 2013 to 2015 and continued to teach World Class Drum Corps and Indoor Percussion groups until 2022. Before joining the band, he was a band director in both Mississippi and Tennessee. As a percussionist, teacher, and lifelong learner, he still delivers masterclasses and participates in percussion outreach in the Southern and East Coast regions of the country.
