Staff Sgt. Stacy Wilson

Staff Sergeant Stacy Wilson joined the West Point Band in 2008. She is the Principal Saxophone of the Concert Band. In addition to her duties with the band, she has performed and taught throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Staff Sgt. Wilson was a featured guest artist at the Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy in Thailand and has served as jury member for the NASA Young Artist Competition, NASA Quartet Competition, NASA Collegiate Artist Competition Finals, the Elise Hall Saxophone Competition, and the Asia Pacific International Solo Competition. She has won top prizes in international solo competitions including the Gaudeamus International Competition in Amsterdam, William Byrd International Competition, the MTNA Competition, and NASA Competition, among others. Staff Sgt. Wilson performs with the internationally renowned Zzyzx Quartet, described by the Saxophone Journal as “a superb ensemble with impeccable musical taste.” Zzyzx has been featured at the World Saxophone Congress, NASA Biennial Conferences, and with wind ensembles across the country. Dedicated to new music, Zzyzx was invited to serve as adjudicators for the prestigious Barlow Endowment and was dedicatee of a new work by Ben Hjertmann. The quartet has released two full-length albums, “Zzyzx Road” and “Intersections.”
