Sergeant First Class Jongyoon Lee joined the West Point Band in 2015. He started playing guitar in middle school in South Korea and later moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where he joined the Army Reserve in his senior year of high school. Before switching to active duty in 2010, he spent time in South Korea recording and performing with various groups and worked as a studio session guitarist.
