Staff Sergeant Guerin Williams is the drummer of the Benny Havens Band. He was born in Austin, Texas, grew up in Fort Worth, and attended Texas Christian University. Staff Sgt. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in music education with an emphasis in percussion in 2011. Upon graduation, he worked as a freelance musician, private lesson instructor, and drumline instructor, and played in a touring rock band.
Staff Sgt. Williams joined the U.S. Army in 2013 and worked as a drummer in the I Corps Army Band at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Seattle Seahawks’ Blue Thunder Drumline, and the 323rd Army Band at Fort Sam Houston before joining the West Point Band in 2019. He is proud to be a part of such an esteemed organization and looks forward to inspiring and helping shape the future leaders of America’s Army.
