Staff Sergeant Guerin Williams joined the West Point Band in 2019. He was born in Austin, Texas, grew up in Fort Worth, and attended Texas Christian University, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in music education with an emphasis in percussion in 2011. After graduation, he worked as a freelance musician, private lesson instructor, drumline instructor, and played in a touring rock band. Staff Sgt. Williams joined the U.S. Army in 2013 and worked as a drummer in the I Corps Army Band at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, the Seattle Seahawks’ Blue Thunder Drumline, and the 323rd Army Band at Fort Sam Houston.
