Staff Sergeant Francisco Aisporna joined the West Point Band in 2019. Originally from the Philippines, he grew up overseas and later moved to Greenville, Texas. In 2014, he joined the U.S. Army as a unit supply specialist, with duty stations that included Camp Stanley in South Korea and Camp Grafenwoehr in Germany. Music has always been a passion for Staff Sgt. Aisporna, and while he was a supply specialist, he found opportunities to sing for the Army. In 2016, he joined the U.S. Army Europe Band and Soldiers’ Chorus and was sent to Sembach, Germany to be the vocalist NCOIC for the USAREUR Soldiers’ Chorus. As an Army vocalist, Staff Sgt. Aisporna has performed in 14 countries across Europe. Some memorable performances include singing live on television in Lithuania and singing Frank Sinatra’s “My Way" at the second largest military tattoo in the world in Basel, Switzerland.
