Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Haddock

Sergeant First Class Daniel Haddock joined the West Point Band in 2018. A native of Decatur, Alabama, he was the winner of both the International Trumpet Guild Solo and National Federation of Music Clubs Student Collegiate Brass Competitions. He was also selected as a national prizewinner for the Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Brass Competition. As an orchestral player, Sgt. 1st Class Haddock has performed with the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and Panama City Pops. He has attended the Round Top Festival-Institute and Brevard Music Center. Prior to joining the Hellcats, he earned a Bachelor of Music from Auburn University and pursued graduate studies in trumpet performance at Florida State University. Sgt. 1st Class Haddock’s primary teachers include Nancy Taylor, Dr. Mark DeGoti, and Dr. Christopher Moore.
